What to Expect During your first complimentary visit, Andrew will meet with you at the peaceful, private, DeSisto Strength Training facility. Andrew will then go over your health history, goals, past injuries, and discuss preliminary considerations to ensure your time is efficiently spent. Once all your questions and concerns are answered your first workout will begin on only a few machines, set to your exact body proportions and range of motion limitations. Your first few workouts will be rather easy, during the “skill-learning” period. Safety is paramount and before increasing the weight to a level that is desirable for receiving the greatest benefits, we must first ensure that you have learned how to perform each exercise properly. After you have developed the required neuromuscular memory to perform each exercise properly, your subsequent workouts will increase in intensity. When we bring the intensity high enough you will eventually reach a state of momentary muscle failure. This is where true exercise takes place.
