George Plumbing Company, Inc. was established in 1947 by George F. Saliba. Mr. Saliba began his career as a master plumber in 1920 in San Antonio, Texas. With only $200.00, a panel truck, a vacant lot on Roosevelt Avenue, and tons of courage, he started his business. Eventually, Mr. Saliba purchased a building and property on Olmos Drive. However, due to city construction, the city purchased the location from Mr. Saliba to build a drainage ditch. In 1957, with the proceeds from the sale of the property to the city, Mr. Saliba built a building and moved the business to Basse Road. Mr. Saliba passed away in 1984 leaving the company to his son George L. Saliba. In 2003 Mr. Saliba built a new building and moved the business to its present location on Spectrum Drive. Mr. Saliba's main focus was residential and light commercial plumbing repairs. Due to his high quality service through the years, Mr. Saliba built a large and dedicated customer base. Many of these customers are still with us today, and have been for over 30 years. The reason the customers have stayed is confidence. Customer confidence has made this company what it is today. Past and present management holds customer satisfaction and confidence as the single most important philosophy in the organization. It is our goal to make every customer as comfortable as possible, whether we are working at the customer's home or business. From the first time we come in contact with a customer, we want that customer to call us for the rest of his or her life. Although the founding Mr. Saliba has passed away, his goals and beliefs are alive and well, and continue to be the foundation of George Plumbing Company, Inc.

Brew City Gardens was started by a University of Wisconsin Extension Master Gardener, Master Composter and urban gardener who lives in the Washington Heights neighborhood. She and a partner opened the store to equip people with the resources necessary to build healthier communities by returning waste to the earth, restoring the health of urban soil and building gardens that create beautiful, sustainable urban spaces. The owners hope to serve a special type of gardener with their store: the neighborhood gardener interested in growing healthy heirloom, nonGMO and organic plants in small urban spaces. Unlike the big garden centers with rows upon rows of bioengineered gardening chemicals, Brew City Gardens was designed to reach the “locavores” and “transitioners” interested in living more sustainable, holistic lives, starting with their backyard gardens. Maximizing the growth potential of small spaces is Brew City Gardens’ specialty. Live in a duplex with a concrete slab for a backyard? Brew City Gardens offers products and services like raised beds and vertical gardens that allow folks to grow just about anywhere, and grow a lot by using compost and worm castings to enrich soil and improve plant health and productivity. Don’t have space for a big backyard compost bin? Brew City has all the products necessary to compost with worms, creating beautiful, rich compost indoors, year round. Brew City Gardens is positioning itself to be a gardening resource for the surrounding neighborhoods. We offer regular classes on a variety of gardening topics and are also open to suggestions for classes. Classes will be targeted at both beginning gardeners and more experienced gardeners who want to learn more about specialized topics. Stop by Brew City Gardens if you have questions or need some red wigglers, compost, seeds or other gardening supplies. The store is also looking to collaborate with the community in creative ways. If you have suggestions, locally-crafted organic gardening products to sell on consignment or other ideas for the store, email email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit Brew City Gardens at www.BrewCityGardens.com or follow BCG on Facebook and on Twitter for the latest store updates, product information, event announcements, gardening tips and ideas and much more.

Hi, I'm Paul Adamson and I own Beautiful Taiwan Tea Company. We're fully committed to three things: Fairness for farmers, respect for the environment, and fantastic teas at good prices for our friends here in North America and all over the world. Our teas are grown on small family farms high in the mountains of Taiwan. They are hand picked, processed and packaged by real people who are paid a fair price for their labor and expertise. We acquire these teas through connections made over many years and hope that you will enjoy them as much as we do! Our teas are not certified organic. This process is lengthy and expensive for our farmers to undergo. However, they assure me that they use no pesticides or chemical fertilizers. Like us, the local Taiwanese market doesn't want anything in their tea except TEA. If you are a tea drinker, PLEASE know where your tea comes from. Also, we work to make sure our prices are good for you. If you find another tea with the same name that is cheaper on the internet, it probably is lesser quality. OR, it's not from Taiwan. There are alot of teas on internet stores claiming to be from Taiwan which are actually grown in Vietnam or Thailand on farms whose soil contains... who knows what. Buyer beware :) This site is new so please enjoy some tea and review it on our site. Thanks.
The Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty is named after the great English historian, Lord John Acton (1834-1902). Inspired by his work on the relation between liberty and morality, the Acton Institute seeks to articulate a vision of society that is both free and virtuous, the end of which is human flourishing. To that end, the Institute engages in research, publishing, documentary film production, engagement with the media, and organizes seminars aimed at educating religious leaders, business executives, entrepreneurs, university professors, and academic researchers. Acton promotes sound economic thinking and an awareness of the moral underpinnings necessary for a free society.
