Wojo Photography

Wojo Photography

Born and raised in the rough and tumble neighborhoods of North Philadelphia, Chamyang Unkow honed his photography skills shooting the mean streets around him. Now you can find him shooting anything from street life to commercial to high fashion. He's shot for Guess Jeans, Philadelphia Style Magazine, and URB Magazine. His work has been published in the Philadelphia Inquirer, The Winnipeg Free Press, and Black & White Magazine. His approach to photography is traditional in a sense of relating to the old masters of the thirty's and forty's American photography. His mentors are the likes of Brassi, Burke White, WeeJee, Strand, Callihan, and other greats of the period. He prefers using natural light and can often be found capturing a moment at night or just before sun up. "Wojo", a nickname he picked up growing up in a Polish neighborhood, can usually be found navigating his way through streets and back alleys searching for that revealing light or a glimpse of architectural beauty. He has come to know Philadelphia best from cycling and it's helped him establish a good sense of the ever changing landscapes of the city. Over the years he's traveled extensively by bicycle and photographed places like Utah's Delicate Arch, the Florida Keys, Wyoming's Rockies, and even far off lands like Taiwan. He currently lives in and shoots photographs of Philadelphia's Kensington section, a neighborhood known for it's urban ghettos and poverty. Being a part of Philly's art scene for over 20 years you can still find him offering his creativity along with his easy going and sometimes crazy personality. He's been the focus of numerous solo exhibits across the area, mainly choosing coffee houses and outdoor markets as his venue. He feels their higher volume of foot traffic and exposure help keep him closer to both his clients as well as his subjects. He is available for fashion, architectural, night and fine art photography and can be contacted by email.
Capitol Mac

Capitol Mac

About Us CapitolMac began in Richmond, Virginia, way back in the 1980s, as the original, local source for Apple products and support in central Virginia. Throughout the years, we've moved among several locations before landing at our present location in The Fan in 2003. And for the first time ever, in November, 2010, we expanded to a second location in our current owner's hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. At both stores, we boast several Apple bona fides, which we'd love to tell you about. Apple Specialist There are a number of independent Apple resellers, and then there are Apple Specialists. And CapitolMac is one. What does this mean to you? For one thing, it means that we're far more than just an Apple reseller; indeed, we're better described as an "independent Apple store." No, we aren't the Apple Store (shopping mall rents are quite high), but we most certainly are an Apple Store. That means we have all the pluses of the Apple store, with virtually none of the minuses. There's no mall to walk through (which can be difficult if you're carrying a broken desktop). There's no need to make an appointment to see us. (What an utterly absurd concept.) There's no need to explain basic computing concepts to the alleged Mac "genius" checking in your machine. And unlike the blindingly bright store in the mall, we actually have roots in the local community. When you visit us, you park, you walk a few feet, and you're at our front door. And yes, we know there are others in the area who claim to be "local" and "independent," too. While that may technically be true (they obviously have to be local to somewhere), it's hard to see how Henrico County is "local" to downtown Richmond, or Millersville is "local" to Federal Hill. Worse, some of the other guys have been around so long that they've become a tad complacent and rude. (Hey, we're just going by what their former customers—who are gradually becoming our current customers—tell us about them.) Sure, those others have a few credentials; usually, they're resellers, for instance. That's all well and good, but CapitolMac has chosen to go the extra mile by attaining the Apple Specialist designation. We've demonstrated to Apple that we've got some skin in the game, more so than those other resellers. We've demonstrated to Apple that our focus is on Apple products and solutions. We're also held to a higher standard by Apple in order to maintain this designation. We’re the only such Apple resellers in the city of Richmond and the entire Baltimore metro area. There are certain national electronics and music equipment chains that don't even meet these standards, while we do, regularly, year after year. And obviously, people are noticing. We've won a few awards over the years—not just from Apple, but from our customers as well (by way of their votes in "Best of [Baltimore/Richmond]" polls in such publications as Richmond Magazine, City Paper, Style Weekly, and others)—to back us up. Apple Authorized Service Provider As an Apple Authorized Service Provider, we handle service and repair work on Apple products both in and out of warranty. Every repair we do is done in the store; we don't ship your hardware to a remote facility for service. Nor do we turn our nose up at servicing machines that are more than a couple of years old. The readers of Style Weekly just voted us the best computer repair shop in 2011 (among all shops, PC and Mac), and the readers of Richmond magazine regularly award us recognition, most recently in the 2010 “Best of Richmond” issue, where they ranked us the best computer repair store for Apple/Macintosh products. (Yep, we even placed ahead of that place in the mall that we can't name.) And perhaps best of all, we'd never dream of asking you to make an appointment to bring your computer in for service. Apple Consultants Network As a member of the Apple Consultants Network, CapitolMac provides both home users and businesses with expert, onsite, Apple-certified consulting and IT support. This is a service that the mall stores don't even offer—and no, "Joint Venture" doesn't count, either.

Gino's Classic Barber Shoppe

1100 Hammond Dr Ste 430 B   1085.61mi
Barbers were once versatile virtuosos who performed surgery and dentistry alongside wielding their scissors and razors. The swirling white, red and blue of a barber’s pole signifies an ancient profession that has existed since the Egyptians and Romans ruled the globe. With a commitment to exceptional quality and satisfied customers, Gino’s Classic Barber Shop offers a classical grooming experience at an honest price. When you first walk into Gino’s Classic Barber Shop, you will immediately recognize that you are not in an average barber shop. The relaxed, old-fashioned European setting and the complimentary beverage that you will enjoy will quickly make you believe in Gino’s promise to make you comfortable while you peruse the variety of professional grooming options available to you. The waiting room has been updated with modern amenities including a large flat-screen television and a wide assortment of magazines and newspapers for you to browse. For a price comparable to a local chain’s haircut, you will mount your own private barber chair and experience old-world luxury and care. You will be greeted by a master barber who will take the time to listen to you carefully and determine your exact grooming needs. You will then be prepared for a straight-razor neck shave with a hot lather and a freshly steamed hot towel for your comfort. An eyebrow trim followed by a soothing barber shoulder massage will complete your experience and leave you looking sharp and feeling great. By combining quality products, great service and premier classical haircuts and shaves, Gino’s offers a luxurious and substantial experience without the inflated price typical of upscale salons or the rushed and impersonal experience provided by our corporate competitors.

Santa Lucia Pizza

Santa Lucia Pizza

It all started in 1971 when the Simeonidis' Family opened a little take out pizzeria in Thompson Manitoba while working at the Inco Nickel mines. The Simeonidis dedication to great tasting food and great value made the little pizzeria a success. Within a year, it was the busiest pizzeria in Thompson. In 1974 they moved the family to Winnipeg and opened a location at Waterloo and Corydon. Many more Winnipeg locations quickly followed. In 1990 they went international by opening in Fargo N.D., U.S.A. One reason for their success is that they've always ensured that all menu items added over the years have been of the same high quality as their already famous pizza. They achieved this by sticking to their family's tradition of making fresh dough, bread, sauces, salad dressings, and the traditional Greek foods, all from scratch. This did not go unnoticed and they were quickly becoming famous for more than just their pizzas. Winnipeggers have acknowledged this dedication to tradition by awarding Santa Lucia Pizza with the following awards: 'Best Pizza in Winnipeg' by Uptown Magazine, the Consumers' Choice Award for 'Best Family Restaurant', 'Best Garlic Bread' by the Winnipeg Free Press, 'Best Greek Salad' by the Winnipeg Tribune, and a 'Best Food Booth' from the Taste of Manitoba. Various Santa Lucia Pizza locations are independently owned and operated so you may see slight differences in their menu selections. No matter which location you choose, deciding between the pizza, pasta, salads, signature chicken, ribs and the unforgettable Greek food will be a challenge. But whichever one you choose you will not be disappointed. We warmly invite you to enjoy a meal and experience for yourself the heritage of the Simeonidis Family.

In 2007 Yadin left the restaurant to pursue other interests leaving Ilan as sole proprietor. All the food we serve is prepared at the restaurant preservative and filler free. We start with the bare ingredients and produce small batches to maintain optimal freshness. We make our own hot sauce from eight ingredients. We make our own Persian Spice mix from eighteen ingredients. We make our own Jerusalem mix spice mix from seven ingredients.
